Byteworks founder, Steve Mitchell, has been programming MFA (Multifactor Authentication) since 2006. This year, Steve returned to one of his original MFA projects to create a new implementation of RSA Adaptive Authentication running on NAM (Novell Access Manager). Byteworks ported MFA from WebSphere to NAM utilizing the NAM Java API, RSA Adaptive Authentication Web Services, and the RSA Authentication Manager (SecurID) Java API.
The customer wanted to be able to test the code on their Conintuum integration server. By decoupling the sign-in rules engine from the NAM platform, there was only a single class dependent on the Novell API. This allowed code test coverage to reach 98% in the proof-of-concept.
